Which report recommendations are school-related and tied to which findings affect school access and which recommendations need school data, not only clinic data.
Confirm the IEP sections that should respond are updated: present levels, eligibility, goals, accommodations, services, assistive technology, behavior supports, and placement.
Look for records showing the team connected the key school-related recommendation with school data, the written IEP record, or a documented refusal when a specific change was requested.

Does the school have to follow a private neuropsychological evaluation?
If a parent shares a private evaluation, ask the team to document how the results were considered when making IEP decisions. That does not mean the team will adopt every recommendation. Ask what school data and reasoning supports any recommendation the team is not adopting.
What should I compare first?
Start with cognitive profile, attention, executive function, memory, processing speed, academic achievement, diagnoses, and recommendations, then compare those findings with present levels, eligibility, goals, accommodations, services, assistive technology, behavior supports, and placement.
What if the school says it considered the report but changed nothing?
Ask where that response is documented. If you requested an IEP, evaluation, or service change and the team refused it, ask if Prior Written Notice (PWN) will be provided.
